CUT-DOWN CHARGE |
A Cut-Down
charge is required when a tooth, many teeth or a portion of the saw blade is
broken off below the gullet. In order to repair the saw blade we have to cut the blade down to the break and make it round
again. Then we can put new teeth in the blank saw blade.
This cut-down charge is added on to the charge of a Retooth.
Example: Lets say you have a 300mm ( 12") saw blade with
a 1/2" chunk broke out of it. Don't dispose of your saw blade, we can cut
the blade down 1/2" which costs $7.00,
then we can retooth the saw blade which costs $30.00.
The
total cost to repair the 300mm (12") blade is $37.00.
Your 300mm (12") saw blade is now 275mm (11") in diameter.
A new
300mm (12") blade is $132.00 and a new
275mm (11") blade is $109.00.
